Hiring Junior Accountant with Strong Organizational Skills

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks and supporting the overall functioning of the accounts department. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks independently. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and be capable of handling day-to-day accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
  2. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  3. Process invoices, expense reports and other financial documents accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Monitor and reconcile petty cash transactions.
  5. Prepare and maintain accounting schedules and records.
  6. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls
  7. Support the accounts department in various ad hoc projects and tasks.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
  9. Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Junior Accountant or similar position.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary & other facilities

Salarywill be as per experience and it is negotiable
Work ModeThis is a Work from Office Position. Candidates residing near office location (Central Kolkata) will be preferred
